Silk Painted Mandalas

Mandalas have their mystery within a circle. My wife painted florals that merged with a geometric circle border to produced her own series of mandalas. The paintings were done on silk and painted in a number of silk painting techniques -some with gutta and others painted directly onto the silk using French dyes and/or fabric paints).










My wife investigates a technique or idea and creates a limited edition of art works within those elements. And then she moves on. Her work is thus varied but comprehensive within that limited body of work. She may return to a genre or technique or process when she has discovered a new way to present it. Always exciting, always exploring.
