Backyard Oil Pastel Landscape -One Day using Sennelier Oil Pastels

 I was looking out the kitchen window while brewing my morning coffee.  Light stole through the cedar tres that surround the property. I used the Sennelier oil pastels without layering in an undercoating of harder oil pastel.  I used the Sennelier oil pastels directly onto the 4" x 6" grey illustration board.

I need to add in the wires that act as vine supports.

This is a relatively stable format as noted by the horizontals and verticals.  The irregularity of the tree branches and light shining through creates a contrast to the horizontals and verticals -as does the light pastel colours in the mid ground.
