Oil Pastel-Island Landscape in a Day

 Despite the lethargy that has shown up I have been able to get a few oil pastel paintings done.  I will continue with the island theme -those quiet spaces in the landscape- and then move on to the next theme.  Once I have worked out the colour scheme I want to use on a picture I can then get down to applying strokes.  I am aiming for a few elegant oil pastel strokes that enrich the image.

The strokes for the twigs and branches were done by layering oil pastel onto a palette and then mixing it with odourless turpentine to put on with a small brush.
