Denim Dress Applique

As my husband continues working on his furniture painting, I will post a further applique work I had done to embellish a denim dress.

I drew each leaf, lily pad, frog, dragonfly, etc onto material and then used my French dyes to paint them. I then cut the images out and arranged them on the dress. Each image was then machine stitched -free hand- onto the dress.

The dress is a delight to wear when we are off to visit other cottagers for an evening get together.
