Another Oil Pastel of an Island Landscape -a day painting

 After a few thumbnail value sketches I drew the image onto illustration board.  I fixed the pencil and then added hard oil pastel to the values.  Once set after using turpentine to spread the values I began to layer the Sennelier oil pastels to complete the painting.  Because I worked quickly the strokes became more lively.  Still, I have tried to create one of those quiet, meditative places that are everywhere on the island.
