Manuela creates a Fabric Flower -in a Multi Thread Basket

Now this item by Manuela denotes a number of techniques she uses in her fabric art works.  The centre is a coiled base (in the same manner as her coil baskets , only flat).  Each petal of the flower is machine embroidered and then assembled.  Manuela hand beaded a button with glass beads and stitched it to the centre.  The basket in which the flower sits is made with many threads stitched together.  Manuela has a bin of those scrap, loose, left-over threads that she soften turns into these layered sheets or new textile piece of 12" fabric.  The combination stands alone as its own private place.
