Embroidered Mandela -Home from a Showing

One of my wife's embroidered mandelas has just came back from being presented to the Ontario Network of Needleworkers. The Mandela with its red trillium in its centre was produced by free hand machine embroidery with metallic and polyester machine embroidery threads. As is her signature, beads were added as an embellishment.I like the way she uses her threads to paint the flow of the petals and leaves.
