an Embroidered Birthday Pillow

This embroidered pillow was part of the birthday gifts my husband and I gave to our granddaughter on her second birthday party held on the weekend.

I am learning to use the computer and was able to copy images onto cloth. After cutting out the images I sewed them onto the pillow I had made. The bottom of the sea was made from material I made from odd threads fused together. I added iridescent fabric paints to accent parts of the images and make them stand out. I liked the fact that the weave of the moire material gave movement within the watery look.
