Exploring Embroidery Stitches -Denim Hexagon #7 by Manuela

 Spring seems to be peeking around the corner at our home.  Ha!!  Ha!! Ha!! 

So, Manuela's thoughts turned to flowers.  She took one of her denim backgrounds and "slow stitched" with hand dyed, cotton, crochet yarn. Her flowers were hand painted on fabric and then appliquéd and embroidered.  The vase in the composition was Gelli plated onto fabric and then it, too, was appliquéd and embroidered. Manuela hand dyed cotton yarn for the branches and used burgundy ribbon to embroider the buds onto the denim.

With snow still on the ground, this little flowery art piece adds a cheerful note.
