Exploring Embroidery Stitches- A Series of Embroidered Fabric hexagons by Manuela

Our daughter gave Manuela a bag full of jeans.  Manuela took the jeans to the studio to cut them into 6" hexagons.  She was going to return to embroidery stitches that seem to becoming a lost art.  So, using the jean/denim material and different embroidery stitches, she began to embroider each hexagon with ribbon, beads, embroidery floss, crewel wool, etc.

Manuela created this hexagon crazy quilt piece and will embroider more to join together later in a large art piece.  By the time she finishes the large hanging she will have used many different stitches throughout.
